“The past is gone, the future is not here, now I am free of both. Right now, I choose joy.” Deepak K. Chopra
As we sit in this season of reflection and gratitude, I want to express my deep and sincere gratitude to each one of you. Thank you for letting us partner with you in your career and leadership journeys. It has truly been an honor. When I started Wolfgang Career Coaching in 2009 as a part-time venture, I couldn’t have dreamed of the impact it would have on so many people’s lives.
Reflecting on my own life, I recognize that I am truly blessed with so many things. I am raising two amazing daughters with my husband. Watching them grow and learn is a great joy for me. Growing Wolfgang Career Coaching from a part-time solo venture to creating Coaching 4 Good with Michelle Poole specializing in career coaching services and merging the two companies together has brought me such fulfillment.
Living close enough to my parents to allow me to be a caregiver for my ill father has been an honor. Life is truly blessed. Of course, all of those areas take a lot of energy as well. This was energy I had, and was willing to happily give. Enter March 2020 . . . a global pandemic pushed many of us to and beyond our limits, including me. Every aspect of my life that I am blessed to have also required much more energy. They required me to give my full self or close to my full self to each one . . . an impossible task, even for someone like me who held resilience as a core character trait throughout my life. I often tell my clients that we always have choices; they aren’t always great options, but we always have a choice. This year, I had to make one of those choices. As much as it pains me, I am leaving Coaching 4 Good as a business partner at the end of 2020. It was a difficult but necessary choice for me.
Don’t worry. I am not leaving the leadership and career coaching space! I am called to do this work and will continue to serve others as a coach. Leadership coaching brings me so much energy, and I truly value those who partner with me in that work. I will embark on a simpler way to continue this path. I don’t know what that simpler way is yet. After spending 11 years building something, it is going to take me some time to figure out what is next. I am a builder and creator at heart, and I trust I will create something that works for myself and my clients.
As Rumi said, “As you start to walk on the way, the way appears.” If you want to keep up with my next move, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know. I will make sure to keep you updated on my next steps.
I am so proud of the foundation that Michelle and I have built with Coaching 4 Good. I leave you in amazing hands. Michelle and I met in a fortuitous natural collision in 2012, and she has made business ownership much more fun. Her positivity and vision were instrumental in launching the leadership program that we have now run successfully in 3 different countries. It is that vision that will carry Coaching 4 Good forward.
Sharanya Rao (Chief Operations Officer, Coaching 4 Good) is an inspiration to me daily. Her ability to merge compassion, focus, and spirituality into all of her work blows me away. Cheryl Murdock (Client Relations Manager, Coaching 4 Good)is always the first person to raise her hand to help others. She is the rock that keeps our coaching business steady and moving forward. Our remarkable coaching collective is full of so much talent, expertise, collaboration, and heart. I have learned so much from them and feel blessed to have each one on our team.
This is not good-bye, simply a closing of a chapter. I know we will continue to connect in the new chapter. As I take the steps to “live forward” and see what is next for me, I carry all of your wisdom with me.
Thank you again, truly . . . from my heart to your heart.
Amy Wolfgang, Coaching 4 Good Co-Founder
